i bought a 3 piece suite and carpets through the house so have spent a lot of money . the living room carpet had a flaw in it so needed replacing . the items were ordered in may and i am still waiting for the carpet to be replaced . they were due to replace the carpet today so more time taken off work and when i rang to see what time the fitters were due i have been told the carpet is now out of stock. furious is not the word endless phone calls and a trip to the store i purchased from and still no answers . i am sat in a living room with no furniture in and cant contact anyone who can resolve the issue .. please do not buy from here

I Bought a Sofa in December 2012 from your Doncaster store, I was at the time sold accidental damage cover by the sales lady dealing with the sale as after 5 minutes discussing pets and the damage their claws can do on material sofa's I felt that it seemed a good idea. For 3 years I have been very happy with my sofa then we noticed the cushions on the back seemed to be drooping and not standing up correctly, we then had a small accident when the log fire issued a spark and required the use of the insurance, at this point I thought I would mention the drooping cushions in the corner of the sofa. Imagine my surprise when I was told that I was not covered for the accidental damage and that SCS sell 2 different policies and we only had accidental stain policy. This is NOT what the sales lady sold me! I though that not a problem SCS would be happy to help but Mohammed kindly informed me I should have cancelled the policy before 30 days if not happy. 3 years down the line I am unable to cancel my insurance as it is obviously passed 30 days!, I have an insurance policy which is not what I paid for and a sofa that is starting to look worn and tired. I also have a company who are not interested in their customers and will never ever again buy a sofa from SCS. The only saving grace is I am extremely thankful that this has all come to light now as we are moving this sofa into our newly built extension and required a new sofa for our living room guess what................... WE WILL NOT BE USING SCS!!! It is also amazing the amount of people I have spoken to since who have had nothing but bad things to say about SCS. I just wish I had looked into all this before buying the sofa.

I have been waiting since the 24th January for something to be done about my floor after numerous phone calls to you and 2 visits from your staff I am still waiting for a response I have taken advice regarding my consumer rights and intend taking this further. my floor is not repairable due to the incompetence of your delivery men not putting the feet on my suit properly I have had an insurance assessor out from you yet am still waiting weeks later I think I have been very reasonable but think that nearly 5 months is not an acceptable amount of time for you to sort out this issue. I am writing this because waiting for anyone to ring back also never happens your customer service is disgraceful I feel sorry for the staff at your call centre as they do there job but waiting for action from anyone higher up is virtually none existent. I brought a corner sofa in May the perfect sofa, it has a docking station that was not used, I noticed the charging point had fallen into the sofa so called and asked for a technician to attend this was in August, a technician did attend just before Xmas with the part to fix it, Ha ha what a joke after taking apart my sofa to fit the new part this part was not working so they had to remove it and put in the original faulty docking station. We were called on 22/2 and I called them back as the new part was in so needed to arrange a date to have it fitted the person on the line was not sure what I was on about so said someone would call me back, still nothing. So today I called again and was told no one can come till 5.4.16 it's a joke 7 months and still not sorted

Lousy service for our Lay Z Boy

Ordered our suite in September on the clear understanding that we would be on holiday at the time of estimated delivery; no problem we were told! First lie, we were threatened with storage charges of £60+ per week, accused of not telling the store about the possible delivery date problem as there was nothing on their records. After the suite arrived there were obvious faults, no problem says delivery man,just phone the store. Second lie. After over a month, numerous emails and hours spent in store we have finally got a refund. EVERYTHING was done to stop this going through, store staff repeatedly said we could have a refund or repair not a refund. They failed to see that we were legally entitled to a refund on faulty goods. The final insult - the debit card I had paid on had been replaced so the store then claimed they couldn't refund as the card numbers didn't match. Yet another lie - thank you Santander for putting SCS right. Absolutely diabolical treatment of customers; when I (politely) asked when did "the customer is always right" go out of the window I was told to stop being condescending!! Don't touch this store (Wednesbury). Would give no stars if that was an option

Published 13 January 2016 Updated 3 minutes ago Total dissatisfaction with this company, will not recommend. Purchased lazy-boy Tamla Coda corner settee with recliners plus recliner chair. Delivery date was due 9th June 2015. Phone call delivery expected between 3pm 6pm. Phone call received 4.30pm stating van broken down no delivery and was unable to tell us when would be delivered. So no furniture as previous one had been collected at 2pm that day. Husband disabled nowhere to sit. Customer services not bothered. Furniture delivered eventually on 12/6/15. On 7/10/15,telephoned after care re poor condition of furniture sagging seats wanted technician to look at. On 2/11/15 recliner chair switch ceased working with recliner in full out position again more calls. Was informed technician would call me later that day. After many more calls to customer service technician eventually came out on 3/12/15 to assess and do report. Technician eventually came today 13/1/16 to repair recliner no mention of report or poor quality of this furniture which we were informed by salesman at time was coming from America. Load of rubbish, actually made in China which is misleading potential customers, it's a franchise using the lazy-boy name. In the meantime I've had a letter from finance company saying payment was due by 30/12/15, not a years interest free as offered but 9 months. No offer at time by salesman of carpets as was being advertised. So we have paid £3,000 for furniture that we have not been able to use for the purpose it was purchased. ScS your furniture sucks as does your customer relations. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. A telephone call from head office wouldn't go amiss here. Friday 29th January unable to respond to Jordon's message below but nothing heard from anyone else. Not a phone call letter nothing. People reading this go onto scoot and read the letters of complaint about this company I was not surprised too many people being badly treated by this company and being sold shoddy furniture. As I say a telephone call might be considerate especially from the CEO Mr. Knight bet you don't have shoddy furniture in your home. Gave one star rating as unable to give zero. This is a copy of letter to SCS service executive with no response.

We purchased a leather corner suite in April from SCS at team Valley and the quality is so poor, it is under warranty and they will not repair it or replace it. They are saying it is accidental damage yet all we do it sit down normally. the quality is poor and once they have your money they don't care. Be careful everyone it has really upset us 😞😞😞

Recently purchased a suite from SCS. Warned the salesman that I was concerned about the size and access as we live in a first floor flat with several "turns". He "guaranteed" it would fit. On delivery it wouldn't fit and we were told we would have to pay £160 to have it "split down" and rebuilt inside the flat. Eventually the manager agreed to stump up £100 of this but his attitude was loud and aggressive, upsetting my partner in the process, while trying to "blind" me with facts and figures! When I told him his salesman should not have "guaranteed" that it would fit he basically called me a liar saying that his salesman would not have said that in the first place. The job centre is just across the road from SCS in Chesterfield and I will be quite happy to see the manager AND his salesman signing on the dotted line once their feed back has gone viral. They should be warning customers of the potential extra costs for a "non-fit", not just sneaking it into the small print. We will never use SCS again and will warn anyone who may be thinking of using them!

Crap La-z-Boy Sofa Even Crapper SCS service

I took delivery of 2 La-z boy sofas mid March, within days one side was going saggy and material badly ruffling. Reported to SCS in store, they referred me to H/O who sent a 'Technician' after 3 weeks wait, who hadn't seen the model before. He just took photos and prodded the padding and basically said that's how it is. Now having to go via the credit Company to see if they can help. Promised calls from SCS never happen, service is atrocious & I would never recommend them. They obviously ignore the Sale Of Good Act

I ordered and paid for carpet to be delivered on a spesific day. They called supplier and was confirmed. Very quick to take payment! Then 4 days later I get a call that the delivery date cannot be met. I try to cancel the purchase but they make it very difficult for me. I paid with card over the phone, but they cannot refund over the phone! Have to get special permission from head office to do this. They need me to come to the shop(which is 30 miles from me ) to process refund. My partner goes to the shop for the refund. Their attitude towards her is unfriendly and aggresive. Totally the opposite to when they try and sell you something. She is in tears to me on the phone. I find this behavior unacceptable. My advise to any possible customers to SCS is to rather buy online. There are much cheaper deals out there and you dont have to put up with aggresive sales people that obviously work on commission. Online buying will ultimately close down these kind of traders

There men must be very busy rectifying there furniture. wish i had seen this site before going to them quick to take the money.

We bought a sofa from the Northampton branch, when it was delivered it was too big to get through the internal door, we were told that we would have to get in contact with the store and let them know and they will organise an upholsterer who will dismantle and rebuild the sofa in our living room, I have now called numerous times, the upholsterer, answers his phone when he wants, makes appointment doeas not turn up or call, and SCS staff need their customer skills rehoned to put it nicely, I will like to cancel the order, I tried to reorder a smaller sofa but was told I would have to pay 25% extra for that, will NEVER use them again and will let all my family and friends know, Go to DFS.

Purchased 2 sofas from Bolton site, when arrived one had a metal needle inside the leather virtually sticking out, after a very long telephone and email correspondence they sent out a replacement, even though we have 20month old toddler in the house a replacement took over 2 weeks, the replacement sofa was a different colour. Plus the stitching on existing sofa was coming away Manager at Bolton very rude and couldn't care less. various emails again complaining, went to a different store as refused to go to Bolton store again, we decided not to go for the same sofa sue to the appalling quality and the way we had been treated, decided on a replacement to be told it would be a further £520 to pay, wouldn't match the price of existing sofa or even meet half way, we are in a situation now, that the 2 sofas are now going to go back while we go elsewhere and now have absolutely nothing to sit on, SCS couldn't care less

SCS coffee table

We purchased a coffee from the Farnborough, Hants, branch. The staff were great, the table arrived, as promised but some of the fittings didn't line up and the draw pull fittings were, badly, corroded. We contacted customer services and they asked me to photograph the problem and send them and email, I don't know why. I waited for three days for a response and it was only when I threatened to take it back to the store that they responded. They informed me that they were in contact with their supplier and would let me know of the outcome. I informed them that I wasn't interested in what their supplier thought and that the table wasn't fit for purpose, I told them that if I hadn't gotten a response, from them, with a date for a replacement, that I was going to return the table to the local shop and get my money back. To date they have not responded. My wife and I returned the table to the Farnborough store and to their credit, they resolved the problem within twenty minutes. They used another table they had in the store to make sure we had a coffee table that fulfilled our requirement. My wife and I will not use SCS again and will inform friends of our experience. We are going to complain, for what it's worth, to the head office. To their credit, we would praise the staff at Farnborough, they were more than helpful, maybe they were aware of what the after service was like?

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. After paying almost £1000 and arranging that my sofa would be delivered after coming back off holiday I have done nothing but chase them for almost a week now and they never return your calls. Today they contacted me to arrange a delivery at their convenience and not the customers, who may I add need our business to operate, I would never advise people to buy from these bunch of incompetents. Over 8 weeks and still no sofa looks like we will be nearer 10 weeks now, I have asked for my money back but they are now suddenly deaf. This company promise customers everything and once they get your money they don't give a shit. Avoid this company if you are buying a sofa.

Laughing at the Disabled

I went into the Northampton branch on 20th March and was looking around with my wife. We were approached immediately by a lady sales rep and I told her that we were just looking and will ask if we wanted help. She then stalked us around the store and when she approached us yet again I said they were all too big. She said there is an upstairs showroom with smaller suites. I then asked if there was a lift as I am disabled and she said no we don't have to provide one. I then told her that if the company wanted business they should think of access to upper floors for the disabled. As we were leaving the shop the sales assistants and her manger were pointing and laughing at is. THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT THECDISABLED AND I WILL NE WRITING PERSONALY TO THE MANAGER.

SCS are the biggest joke of a company. We have been lied to since day one. We were promised delivery within 5-6 weeks, so we were expecting the sofa and now they are telling us another month at least before they even receive it in their warehouse... so who knows if we will ever get this sofa! Disgusted by their shocking customer service since placing an order, I tried contacting them on facebook and twitter (as that seems to be the only way to get through to them)and have been blocked and ignored for writing a complaint. I know I am not the only one this has happened to! I just want to know why I was lied to and now being expected to wait over 10-12 weeks for a sofa is an absolute joke when we made it very clear we couldn't wait that long as we are currently sitting on a cold hard floor.. Do not bother with this shocking company!

Promised completion Jan. Now March. Still missing carpet! They messed up carpet fitting bookings, we waste days off work. They never answer the phone. When you finally get through they make excuses and promise to call back but don't. Do not touch them. A dreadful company with awful service. So unprofessional. Daughter left devastated with an empty room and no carpet after 2 failed deliveries. So angry! Want everyone to know they are the worst.

We visited SCS Slough recently and this is a record of our experience. There were too many sales reps dotted all over the floors. Happy to be of assistance only if you were a serious customer willing to part with your money or make a purchase on credit without dilly-dallying! One man kept walking off to talk about us and our indecision with his colleagues. Very bad. Customers are allowed to shop around and take their time in deciding what is right for them. Reps need not show disdain for us by walking off, talking about potential customers, rolling eyes and being sarcastic in conversations. That is rude and forgetful of the fact that there are other stores selling similar furniture on the same stretch of shops. Be like some of the others who were very polite and welcoming regardless of the fact that customers did not part with their money there and then! Perhaps then you will earn your commission for a sale that you helped a customer make without applying your pressure-buy, techniques.

What fabulous customer service we have just received from Amir at the Kempston Retail Park Store. A very helpful gentleman. But disappointed with the poor advertising, when all over the store are signs advertising free carpet with every sofa over £395, the sofa we bought was £695 but because it was stock sale the store manager said the free carpet did not apply. False advertising and a huge oversight by the company. Very poor hense only three stars for overall rating.

I bought a corner sofa last January, it was delivered in April 2014..in June the sofa had to be re stapled and the cushions are not right. The corner sofa looks 10 years old rather than a year old, have had the technician out 4 times and still SCS say they can not read his hand writing...No one will give me the managing directors name, and all I want is to have my corner sofa replaced.

Went into the store today and was looking at La-z-boy sofas - Three sales staff all stated that if I bought a recliner that there was a FREE upgrade to a powered recliner mechanism. What they failed to mention was that I needed to purchase a minimum of 4 seats (3 seater + a Chair / 2 x 2 seater) to get the free upgrade - Noted a small sign on the furniture saying "Ask for details" but still the minimum of 4 seats was not mentioned - The large 1.5m sign had the disclaimer covered up. Store refused to honour their commitment stating "It was clear on the advertising"

Saturday 20th of December 2014 a SCS lorry hit my parked car & drove off, fortunately for me I have a witness, unfortunately for me they will not admit they did the damage, give me the name of the drivers or insurance details. The person I spoke to Charlie Floyd was vile, he just spoke over me & treated me like I was something he had trodden in, I got very upset. My dad then tried, he spoke to a Neil (he wouldn't give his full name) he was just as rude. So it left me no other choice than to go to the police, as it's illegal to leave a scene of a crime & not to give insurance details. My insurance company cannot do anything without there insurance company details so hopefully the police will get further than myself & my dad did. I cannot speak for the whole company but the people I came into contact with were disgusting!

I'm getting back pain from my new Alita 3 seater corner unit. We bought the softoption as opposed to the foam option, it's fine for everyone except me so i rang after sales and asked to buy a foam insert for my corner seat, unbelievable, they won't sell me one because and i quote "it will change the specification of the sofa" but they will sell me all four!!!!!!! These people are joke.

originally ordered 3 seater sofa explained my living situation and was told it fits through any size of doors. 4 weeks later it arrived and did not fit! after 2 weeks of trying to cancel/re-order a new sofa with a split in it eventually was able to. 6 weeks later I have just received my originally sofa! to their surprise it still does not fit even tho I have paid extra for a new sofa... I really am disappointed now as it is Christmas time and I do not have a sofa to sit on!

Absolutely disgusted with SCS. Visited the store on St Andrews Quay in Hull on 5th November. Sales person used underhand tactics to clinch the sale. At the time there was a promotion of a free carpet with every suite. We did not need a new carpet but a new rug. The sales person said he would sort us out with a Free Rug of our choice as well as the size we wanted. This persuaded us to buy the suite. I have just been informed we cannot have the free rug but we can have a pathetic 10% off any rug. I really feel like cancelling my order and believe I should have my £250 deposit refunded. I will never deal with SCS again and would advise everybody else not to either.

Having been to SCS in Preston to buy a carpet we were greeted by a Guy who seemed to know what he was talking about so we found a carpet we liked gave him our precise measurments and he told us not to worry as even with precise measurements the company always added a couple of extra inches.. so we went ahead with the order paid for it in full and were told about the fitting cost being extra..no problem we had to actually amend the sizes by an extra few inches and for some reason they sent us a refund which we assumed they had made an error and that we we didnt have to actually pay for so much carpet but they had made the mistake ... fianlly got the Carpet Fitter to phone us some 3 weeks later ( not the most pleasent guy but never mind ) and got the carpet fitted in the living room..ok so far then came the bombshell as we live in a bungalow with an inner hall off the loung we had ordered and PAID for extra carpet to fit in with the rest of the lounge etc..to be told by the Carpet Fitter .." theres going to be a join " OH NO THERES NOT we said as we have cats and they will find a join weve paid for all this and want it done cant do it .. we now have a piece of carpet thats not useable because its 2 inches too short.. been of to SCS they couldnt care less theyve had our cash and dont want to know ! any suggestions ???

I bought a leather corner suite from these people & have had a big problem with one of the seat cushions...ie:- the leather is peeling off , which suggests it is not the leather I was led to believe. After many many ..many phone calls, I am no further on with this matter as I am being constantly fobbed off with the same excuse each time and apparently the manager doesn't speak to customers.....so anybody planning on buying a suite or anything else for that matter from this outlet ....DON'T! you will live to regret it My customer number is 788080...if anybody is interested. .

About 10 weeks ago today me and my partner ordered a cambria corner suite from SCS in stockport which we were told verbally by a Regional Manager "BARRY ALDRIDGE" That it would arrive in 3/4 weeks and would come in 3 pieces as i explained that i lived in a second story apartment and we had no sofa at the time. It infact came 6 weeks later than they orginally stated and it was the complete wrong colour and only came in 2 pieces, we sent the sofa back to the store and asked for a refund the manager of the stockport branch "iAN TURNTIN" Said to us "There is no way youll be getting your money back from my store and you got the sofa you asked for" even though clearly stating on the order form and delivery form the colours were meant to be chocolate,mink and black but what arrived was grey and purple he then tried too convince us that purple was infact what mink and chocolate stood for, which is ludicrous - this was due to the fact he didnt have the sofa in his show room and we'd seen it online - it was also disbanded so there was no picture evidence to prove we were right on their website - however we rang a few stores in hope one might still have a few in stock along with the swatches - we found one and got picture and video evidence the colors were right - once we provided him with this he then backed down and gave us our refund - however the whole process was an complete and utter joke and unnecessary stress. The shop knew they'd made a mistake as the day it was delivered - my partner took pictures of the color that had arrived and a picture of the delivery notes - when we went to the shop that day they said they'd order our correct sofa again and it'd be here in yet another 6 weeks - tunes were changed uncountable times at ScS - the staff are snakes, and their customer skills seem to vanish once you've handed money over.

I find this unacceptable considering the price that was paid for the goods.The insurance asseror stated that structure of the suite was failing therefore I hold you responsible for selling us inferior goods. Me and my partner brought 2, 3 seater sofas from them. We got them delivered they would not fit into our property. We went to the store and explained the situation and they said they will try and redeliver so they had a 2nd attempt in which again they could not get them in. The delivery drivers were really helpful and tried there best to get them in. I went back to them to say that we want to swap them for 2, 2 seater's which will fit and they said they will not swap/exchange or even refund us. They said we have to pay £140 per sofa to get them cut down and put back together to get them in which we are not willing to do. We had paid £900 outright for theses sofas and it took 4 weeks to get them delivered. We had no sofas for that amount of time and i also have a 1 year old girl so we had to sit on the floor. The delivery drivers helped me out at the store backing me up and even said to the sales guy will you lend them a loan sofa for the baby and bluntly said no as it will get damaged and wont be able to sell it on. In the end they said we have to swap the sofas for the smaller ones we had to pay £200!!! As they had to sell the other ones at a loss. So now we have paid £1100 as we had to change them which i think is disgusting. They would help us out what so ever and were very blunt and rude. Cant believe they wouldn't even lend us something as the other sofas will now take another 4 weeks! You would think to keep a good reputation they would help you out a little, but no they just want there money and that's it. DO NOT GO TO SCS!!!!

Having paid £3400 for two 2 seater sofas and having replacements which are worse than the originals, I am now fighting to get a refund. I purchased a thee seater, two seater and manual recliner from SCS in Drumchapel, all appeared well until three months later cracks appeared on surface of the leather. I had an initial visit on 2nd feb 2012 for a technician to take a sample of the leather to order paint and effect a repair, since then i discovered more cracks in the leather and contacted SCS who still had not completed the first repair.Another technician called to take ANOTHER sample, since that time they have both been LOST?. i was contacted to be told they had the paint in stock in May but on the following day i was told this was not the case and yet another technician would call out on the 22nd of May to take another sample.During this debacle my wife was fighting lung cancer and this situation caused her more stress in the last weeks of her life, she sadly passed away with this situation still hanging over me. I would NEVER NEVER reccomend SCS to anyone and would hope that the finance company[creation] withdraw from such an inconsistent company to prevent high court writs being issued by irate customers underThe sale of goods act 1974 to the finance companies who also have a legal resposibilty. 22/05/12

I bought a corner sofa from SCS Telford in oct 2011 recieved six weeks later and after 5 months of use sofa cushions are as flat as a pancake, after many letters of complaint and phonecalls to customer care who did absolutly nothing and did not give a toss by their attitude on the phone i had an upholsterer come out twice and told me if i had been informed about the filling and how to properly dress sofa on purchase they would not be flat now. i was not informed on any of this and my experience is that they were very interested in getting the sales and not actually interested in the product they were selling or the person they were selling it to. after MORE letters of complaint had a phonecall from manager of the store who said they would replace my sofa but i had to pay administration charges!!! i do not think so as this is not my fault that i have not been told about my sofa properly before purchase. anyone interested in taking this further as a group about poor customer service and quality over all SCS stores please get in touch and we will kick up such a stink they have to do something. stacie_jd@yahoo.com

Visited the Nottingham branch on the 3/5/12 and was greeted by 5 assistants all sitting on their bottoms, as i walked further into the store no attempt was made to greet me or a bottom being raised off a sofa until i stood about 5 feet away at which point i said to them that they were not to trouble themselves as i could see that they were all busy! eventually a female bottom rose and asked if they could be of assistance? showed me what i was after which was a sofa bed at the same time telling me to remove all the cushions myself and pull the bed out to see how easy it was! unbelievable! on leaving the store the bottom meeting had dispersed and one male assistant walked past me not knowing whether to smile or not, seeing the look on my face decided that not, would be a safe bet, i carried on walking out looking over to my left where the bottoms had all been sitting, and low and beheld there was one still sitting there, legs on as sofa on his mobile phone! if this is the extent of the company's customer care no wonder the store was empty at 4 o'clock in the afternoon! these people should be grateful that they have a job,in a climate where hard working people are losing their jobs and business's on a daily basis.I hope that the go into adminstration.

Paid in full for a coffee and side table on 2nd JANUARY 2012, to date (5th May) still haven't received order in full! They've tried to fob us off with a shop soiled coffee table, covered in watermarks and scratches and despite dozens of phone calls we're getting nowhere! It's so frustrating! DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY WITH A BARGEPOLE! In my opinion they will be bankrupt before the years out. We've had 3x 3 piece suites from DFS and never had a problem

my transformer box packed up on my 3 seater sofa so the 2 ends would not recline so i needed a new box scs told me they no longer make that part so i called jeff@jmupholstery.com yesterday and received a new one the next day fitted it in 5 minutes works a treat scs did offer to sell me a new sofa so thats the end of me and scs they all said they could convert it to a manual for about £600

After months of communication and the receipt of several identical letters from Scs customer services ,we are getting nowhere.The sfoa was not in new condition ,I was in contact with the store imediatley and have been ever since,to no avail.To rub salt into the wound the very inexperienced driver hit the corner of our house on the way out and broke guttering and damaged tiles! Iwould be very interested to hear from other customers,and definatley from anyone considering buying from Scs sofa s.The so called independant assesor who admitted he worked for Scs report apparently said ther was nothing wrong with it,although to us he agreed that ther was.

Rubbish company - sent someone out to look at our corner suite and said it was ok but it isn't ok. I would strongly recommend that you don't buy from them, especially a corner suite the cushion in the corner is rubbish and appears to look creased all the time and the cover is far too large for the stuffing that went into it, therefore when you sit on it it leaves creases that look awful, I have been told its ok by their technician but we won't be paying for it until it is resolved. bought a suite in september 2011 within 4 weeks i made my first complaint about the poor quality and looking as if i the base was not substantial making the back cusions collapse in the middle. Technition came out and told me in all seriousness that this was a selling point it was meant to look like this.i have written and phoned.They lose my letter then find it then lose it again. Today i had the phone put down on me and am no further forward.have since had 2 zips burst on either arm rest.I do not know what to do next?

as a professional Debt Collector and Investigator I would suggest under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 complaints against this SCS company can go upto 6 years and no longer. also contact your Credit Finance company and under (75 Consumer Credit Act) they are also liable. and also if you dont get a full refund you will issue a High Court Writ or County Court Summons.

I purchased a two and three piece leather settee and with in the first 3 months one of the sette seats collapsed and was repaired and now three more seats have also collapsed. contact consumer direct as under the 1979 sale of goods act you can ask for a full refund or replacement of High Court Writ them from a Debt Collector and Investigator.

bought 2 seater sofa and 2 chairs,first to go was spring on sofa within a month, coming through with force frightening my self and my wife,was reaired,same spring shot through again,was repaired AGAIN,now a spring as gone on one of the chairs,have insured the furniture,good job because scs don't give a damn,told out of warranty,the furniture is defective not able to confirm to british standard,will take them to small claims court,we have a miniture yorkshire terrier who sleeps under the furniture and we are frightened she will be injured,if she is(i hope to got she is never injured) then i will realy lose it,SOMEONE WILL PAY.

I ordered a suite last December which was delivered in March in a substandard condition. The stitching on the footstool was faulty and pulling apart, the sofa looked like something heavy had been stored on it and was badly marked. On phoning the shop in Basildon 4 times I was told the manager was either in a meeting/not in today and will call back. He never did. Eventually I was offered a repair! On a brand new suite! I declined stating that I had ordered a new suite which should be in perfect condition. After some weeks of chasing my tail a new suite was ordered. 2 months later it arrived in a worse state than the original one. I sent it back with the delivery driver. Again, after many phone calls and hearing the usual responses that the manager is not in or in a meeting etc another suite was ordered. I was told it would be delivered to me only after it had been checked by scs warehouse staff. 2 months later it arrived with a bad scuff on one corner of the sofa. I sent it back with the delivery men. I'm sick of it now and just want a refund. I have had a substandard suite for 9 months and sent 2 more substandard suites back to the shop. I've been told the store manager has requested photographs from the warehouse and will make a decision about whether or not he will order another suite for us. How can he possibly make a decision about this by looking a photographs? I do not want to wait any longer for something I paid for 9 months ago - a suite in perfect condition. If a FOURTH suite is ordered I will not be convinced that it will arrive in perfect condition. Why would I? They have already failed THREE times. I am disgusted with scs. I want my money back. I have given 1 star because there was no option for NO STARS

I brought a sofa from your shop in Stevenage under two years ago, under a year later the seam came away in the centre of the cushion, we notified your shop and they sent someone round to sort the issue. Six months later it came away again and also in another place, we contacted your shop again and they told me as it was now over a year old, we would have to get the Insurance we took out with you to deal with it. We then phoned the Insurance and they sent someone round, in the meantime my son whilst playing had pulled on the leather where it had come away and made it worse. The Insurance company had someone come round and he told us 'it could not repaired and that the problem is a Manufactoring Issue' and not a wear and tear issue. We then again contacted SCS Stevenage and also went down to the store, the person in charge told me he would get Graham (the store manager) to contact me on his return from Holiday. I called Consumer Rights and told them all the events and they sent me a letter to pass on to SCS Stevenage and include all my Insurance, records of when buying etc which I did. I have also tried to get in contact with Graham FOUR times to which I have been told he was busy and that they would get Graham to phone me back after taking my number, He has never rang me back. This has now been going on since last November and I have now been told by Consumer Rights to take SCS to a Small Claims Court. I think the way I have been treated as a Customer who is still paying for a Faulty Sofa is Terrible (hence my Rating above)
